Fundoshi (褌, ふんどし) is the traditional Japanese undergarment, made from a length of cotton. Before WWII, the fundoshi was the main form of underwear for adult males. Nowadays, the fundoshi is mainly used not as underwear but as festival (matsuri) clothing
