Japanese larch Literati. The literati style bonsai focuses on the line of the trunk. They are slender and graceful with little to no taper in the trunk.

Literati have few small branches. This initial branch was made into jin. I may remove more branches on this tree.

Literati break a lot of the rules in bonsai. The branch on the left drops straight down before bending back out again to form a foliage pad. The tree has no true apex instead bending down to form another foliage pad on a manner mirroring the previously me

I may eliminate one of these branches. I haven't decided yet. They both occupy important roles in the structure of the tree but since it's a literati I can probably ignore those roles to make a more beautiful literati.
